YOU CAN GET YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH BACK

Lung cancer is a serious disease that occurs when abnormal cells in the lungs grow uncontrollably. It can develop in one or both lungs and is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide. There are two main types of lung cancer: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). NSCLC is more common and tends to grow more slowly, while SCLC is less common but usually grows and spreads more quickly.

The primary risk factor for lung cancer is smoking, which is responsible for about 85% of cases. The harmful substances in tobacco smoke can damage lung cells and lead to cancer over time. However, lung cancer can also occur in non-smokers due to exposure to secondhand smoke, air pollution, or certain occupational hazards such as asbestos or radon exposure. Genetic factors and family history can also play a role in an individual’s risk of developing lung cancer.

Symptoms of lung cancer often do not appear until the disease is advanced. Common signs include a persistent cough that does not go away, chest pain that may worsen with deep breathing or coughing, weight loss without trying, and coughing up blood. Other symptoms can include shortness of breath, fatigue, and recurrent respiratory infections. If these symptoms are present, it is important to consult a healthcare professional for evaluation.

Diagnosing lung cancer typically involves imaging tests such as X-rays or computed tomography (CT) scans, followed by a biopsy to confirm the presence of cancer cells. Once diagnosed, staging is crucial to determine how far the cancer has spread. Staging helps guide treatment options, which may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy, depending on the type and stage of the cancer.

Living with lung cancer can be challenging, both physically and emotionally. Support from healthcare providers, family, and friends is vital during this time. Additionally, many organizations offer resources and support groups for those affected by lung cancer, providing a space to share experiences and find comfort in community.

Prevention is key in reducing the risk of lung cancer. Quitting smoking and avoiding exposure to known carcinogens can significantly lower the chances of developing the disease. Regular check-ups and discussions with healthcare providers about lung health are also essential for early detection and intervention.

Cure from within with a one of a kind psychotherapeutic approach

“Few people are aware that MS is caused, especially, by the suppression of anger. The less you view yourself as “angry” the more likely this will be the case. In my experience in treating, modifying, and even curing MS, I will first do a careful diagnostic of the patients’ psychological conditions. What has often been at the core of this disorder is suppression of anger and allied emotions. The allied emotions relate to one’s needs for: 1. Appreciation 2. Admiration 3. Respect 4. Most importantly the need for love. Once these are addressed healing begins.”
